The first stop on your excursion is the Mount Gay Rum Factory where you will tour the facillity and learn about the history of this 300 year old rum. Inside the factory is a replica of an old-time Barbados Rum Shop and a museum with original distilling equipment dating back to the 1700s.

You will take a guided tour of the Rum Factory where you will learn how they have been making this rum since 1705 from sugar cane and molasses.

During this tour you will have an opportunity to sample this local favorite. There are 6 different Mount Gay rums, each with it's own unique flavor. Taste them all and find your favoite.

After your Rum Factory tour, you will visit Bridgetown's Shopping District where you can purchase duty free items and unique Barbadian (Bajan) local artworks and souvenirs.
